THE CHALLENGE

Janio islooking for a Group Head of Commercial to join our rapidlyexpanding regional team that is based in Singapore. We are looking for anexperienced and numbers driven leader to build and scale our commercial and partnershipefforts, as well as play an active role in our strategy discussions. In thisrole, you will also be expected to align our commercial strategies with themarketing and product teams, as well as implementing core go-to-marketinitiatives to support our global revenue function. Fundamentally, you willneed to be able to influence broader company strategy and vision at both acompany and leadership level. You are also expected to plan a clear milestonesroadmap and formulate strategies to achieve growth. This role expects you toassume regional P&L responsibilities.

As part ofyour responsibilities, you will lead the commercial teams across SoutheastAsia, dive into complex business challenges and grow teams to drive revenues.This position is exposed to multiple aspects of setting up a business in afast-paced start-up environment. We invite candidates with an entrepreneurialand motivated mindset, as well as a keen interest in ecommerce, combininglogistics with new technologies, to apply.

You must be ahands’ on, roll up your sleeves type of leader and should enjoy a fast-paced,high impact entrepreneurial environment. This position requires the individualto navigate many unchartered grounds and build processes and teams from groundup. The successfulcandidate will oversee:

  • Play a pivotalrole in Janio’s strategic planning and collaboration across cross-functionalteams to translate company vision into actionable strategies across allcommercial functions
  • Take ownershipand be a strong interface between Janio and its customers to align product andmarket fit
  • Own the designand implementation of Janio’s most critical go-to-market processes andinitiatives.
  • Activelydevelop and facilitate effective internal and external partnerships andcommunications to drive business growth
  • Inherit thekey accounts functions and maintain a strong client-partner relationship withour clients to support their regional growth
  • Own thedata-driven key recommendations on revenue generation and inherit the salesforecasting model, pipeline reporting and analysis which supports overalltarget setting for Asia region
  • Assume P&Lresponsibilities for key markets under your charge


THEREQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years’experience in a commercial strategy role and proven leadership track record inan ecommerce or logistics capacity. Related experience in managementconsulting, cross-border ecommerce is a plus
  • Strongbusiness intuition: Experience breaking down business problems into the keylevers and digestible next steps
  • Demonstratedanalytical and conceptual thinking skills – can identify and track KPIs tomonitor the health of a business or product
  • Proven projectmanagement skills, with success owning complicated cross-functional programsand projects to timelines around common goals
  • Ability tocraft compelling presentations, and able to relay information in a seamlessway.
  • Stronginterpersonal, networking and communication skills
  • Can workindependently as well as speak and write English fluently, other Asianlanguages are a strong bonus
  • A strong workethic and ability to navigate and thrive in fast-changing work environments.You are a self-starter and enjoy building teams and processes from ground-up.
  • Comfortablewith ambiguity and consistently demonstrate a high proclivity for excellence
  • Experienceinfluencing stakeholders is a plus.
