The regional team in Singapore serves as the centrepiece by which the company extends our global coverage through a variety of regional partnerships across a broad spectrum of industries, ranging from airlines, ecommerce marketplaces and other logistics providers. Looking ahead, the team is currently incorporating elements of AI and machine learning to provide our customers with a suite of smart solutions to accelerate their growth within the region.

Roles and Responsibilities:
We are looking to bring on a Fulfilment Control Tower Operations Manager to manage and build out our network and capacity planning function in Janio. We need a detail-oriented person to ensure we always have sufficient capacity to service new and existing clients. You will work to understand current and projected capacity, help with new site locations, and load balance fulfilment across our network amongst other initiatives. 

In this role, you’ll get to:
  • Work with country leaders, regional teams, and operations managers to meticulously track current network capacity. 
  • Ensure shipment delays and bottlenecks are being proactively addressed to ensure on-time delivery
  • Ensure compliance to preferred carrier guides
  • Ensure compliance to mode and expedited freight policies
  • Measure and manage lead-time variability, including in-transit lead-time, and work with logistics partners to address performance gaps, ensuring accurate lead time master data in planning systems
  • Lead regular review of logistics financial results and provide input into financial forecasting process
  • Reduce freight damages through analysis and root cause identification and resolution
  • Partner with Regional and Country teams to manage carrier performance and influence overall logistics strategy
  • Drive education of core stakeholders on key supply chain concepts and policies to achieve broad alignment across stakeholders
  • Utilize Lean methodologies to identify and eliminate waste in the value chain
  • Provide options and recommendations to the business to balance cost, service, and inventory objectives
  • Partner across manufacturing and supply chain planning to optimize logistics operations, such as improving container / truck load utilization or driving reduced total costs through minimum order quantities
  • Work with the sales operations team to create a robust process for understanding the storage needs on new clients and incorporating this into our capacity planning. 
  • Lead contingency planning and risk management activities
  • Partner to drive improvements in analytical tools
  • Implement policies to drive alignment to best practices
  • All other duties as assigned

We are looking for people who:
  • Candidate with prior experience in a Logistics or Planning Control Tower preferred
  • Have around 2 years of people management skills
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain concepts and distribution strategies
  • Understanding of supply chain planning concepts
  • Highly adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity, organizational ability and follow through
  • Detail oriented and ability to organize large amounts of work and data
  • Have effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Plans effectively and works well in a team or individually
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Able to adapt and succeed in a changing environment
  • Evidence of well-developed leadership skills.
Qualifications:
  • Around 5 years of experience in fulfilment capacity planning.
  • Comfort with running analytical simulations and reconciling data across multiple systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge of SQL and Excel is strongly preferred
  • Established track record of taking ownership and producing results.
