Thursday, 18th August, 2022 – Janio’s Group Head of Commercial, Senthil Kumar, was invited as a panelist for the 1st Edition of SHOPLINE Conversation, centered around the topic of “How Businesses Can Leverage On Omnichannel Shipping to Scale” and co-hosted by both Janio and SHOPLINE.

Alongside SHOPLINE’s Head of Merchant Success, Martin Tan, Senthil shared his take on upcoming omnichannel shipping trends and talked about how merchants can leverage on 4PL logistics provider to maintain customer expectations for their orders and provide bespoke solutions for their deliveries.

Senthil explained how logistics tech providers like Janio help to create solutions that facilitate personalized cross-border delivery experiences by integrating with a single source and giving access to multiple providers in each module of the supply chain (namely the First Mile, Mid-mile and Final Mile portions). Data from fulfillment companies is being consolidated and transferred to a centralized repository and passed on to consumers as a singular offering so that they don’t have to work with multiple carriers to achieve the same results.

He also highlighted that digitally connected supply chains should work in tandem with ecosystems and that aggregating and mapping the right data sets from the consignee that accurately reflects sales and delivery statuses is imperative for an effective sales outcome.

To end off, Senthil and Martin shared that SHOPLINE, being deeply integrated with Janio’s fulfillment solutions has enabled the facilitation of a seamless and option-rich customer experience such that merchants are able to easily manage and fulfill their orders via one touch-point.
