Bangkok, 18–20th September, 2022 – Janio attended the World Mail & Express (WMX) Asia Conference – an international trade event for senior post and parcel professionals, held at the Bangkok Marriott the Surawongse in Thailand.

Our Group Head of Commercial, Senthil Kumar, was also invited as a keynote speaker. He spoke on the second day of the event at a panel discussion titled “Data, Technology and Local Knowledge – The Key to Scalability and Flexibility in E-Commerce Logistics”.

Amongst the other distinguished industry experts who participated in the discussion were Ninjavan’s Regional Head of Southeast Asia Cross-border Sales – Shreya Bosem, Zeek’s Regional Lead (SAAS) – Saral Varavarn, Mober’s Founder & CEO – Dennis Ng, Lalamove Thailand’s Managing Director, Ben Lin and Doddle’s Chief Commercial Officer –  Mike Richmond.

Senthil began by providing an overview of the existing E-Commerce logistics landscape – citing typical pain points faced by logistics managers such as the hassle of handling complex SOPs and exceptions on top of day-to-day coordination with multiple network partners. He pointed out that in today’s market climate, the needs of customers are constantly evolving and that business owners should look to leverage on means such as data and expertise to keep up with these changing demands.

As a solution to addressing the volatility in expectations, Senthil spoke more about how a 4PL player like Janio utilizes data and local expertise to provide stronger service offerings for merchants. Some perks of using Janio’s modular platform include managing multiple vendors through one touch point, informed partner selections with service level management, a greater level of visibility when deploying systems across physical hubs and more curated deliveries for customers.

He ended off with a case study sharing of a global brand who managed to save 15-20% on costs while maintaining an above-average percentage of on-time deliveries through the deployment of Janio’s 4PL solutioning – all within a short span of a month.

Janio would like to thank Triangle Management Services for hosting the event and for the opportunity to share our insights during the panel discussion. If you’ve missed the event, read more about it on the main website. Watch this space for more upcoming events!
